A little lockdown cover, with a socially distant (but still killin’) band, and a guest appearance by my good friend Aurelien Budynek (Cindy Blackman Santana, Tina The Musical). Hope you enjoy it! More (as Daddy-Daycare allows) coming soon…
Cold Shot
Stevie Ray Vaughan, still my favorite player of all time and a huge influence on me. His solo was perfect so I didn’t change a thing, otherwise here’s my take on “Cold Shot”.
Let Me Love You
The first Jeff Beck Group record was insane…Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck were such a killer combo. And I also love Joe Bonamassa’s version of this song. Here’s my take on “Let Me love You”.
Politician
Clapton is God…Cream was my favorite era for Eric Clapton, and Politician is still one of my favorite songs of theirs.
Whole Lotta Love
Led Zeppelin, no band compares in my opinion, particularly to their first few records. I can’t count how many times I sang along to “Whole Lotta Love” in the car.
Covers EP
After years of sideman work I decided to revisit the music that first inspired (and continues to inspire) me, as well as step up to the mic. Covers is just that, a collection of 5 of my favorite covers from my favorite artists and bands. As you’ll see, I lean towards the late 60’s classics for the most part, with of course a Stevie Ray Vaughan song (because there’s no list of my favorites without SRV). This is a limited release, streaming on my website and youtube channel only for now, and I’ll release a track a day starting tomorrow. Big thanks to Winnie Roye (Bass) Gary Seligson (drums), Tristan Leral (mixing/mastering), Leslie Berg (photography) and Vanessa Sundra (artwork) for sharing all of their amazing talents with me on this project. And speaking of inspiring me, this project has done just that, as I’ve been writing new songs for the first time in a long time and eyeing performing my own shows...but more on that later...for now, I hope you like Covers!
